ATTENTION CURRENT BIRDIESBANTER MEMBERS
This page in NO WAY changes anything about our current group. I am not changing nor moving
anything, yahoo group sevice, much as it is, will continue as it always has....
I have been wanting to do a site to BirdiesBanter for some time now. I think it will be a
nice way for people to get to know us before signing up. You can also use it as a 'meeting place' if you like. If I ever get
it together, maybe I can put in a chat room... the use of this site will be very much dictated by YOU the members of BirdiesBanter......

Hi there! My name is Birdie (Bev) I am the LUCKY owner of a great
group of friends known as Birdies Banter. Here you can get to know Birdies Banter and what we're all about. ... SO brace yourself!

Birdies Banter was born about a year and a half
ago. It is an egroup hosted by yahoo. I created it out of a need to create a place where people I was getting to know on line
could express there personal opinions without fear of retribution &/or ridicule. It was created during the tumultuous
times of the days just prior and into the Iraqi war. (Now you know why the need for a "safe haven" for opinions was needed)
It seemed everywhere I went, chat rooms and mail lists were deteriorating at an alarming rate, due to peoples very intense
feelings on both sides of the argument. There were a lot of people who didn't think I could create a list where you were free
to express ANY thought on the war question, without it sinking into an all out flame war. One of whom, is now a member LOL!
I had a lot more faith in people than that.....
I was right......
What happened with my list is a testament to just how great we really
can be as individuals, accepting oneanother for who we are warts and all.
I am blessed to have been a part of the family than continues
to grow, and thrive everyday. We share out loves and lives. We offer support, cheering squads and soft warm places to lay
all your worries. We offer a 'well used' SOAP BOX for all forms of venting, we even have a safe place to be if you're
a NUDIST!!!! YIKES! yes we even have a 'nuddy' member LMAO! (insert here: for our more sensitive visitors there are NO NUDE
pictures on this site or list) Although I'm sure if you ask him *points across the room* he just might LMAO *wink*
